As House Democrats hold their impeachment vote today, the overtly partisan process and weak grounds for impeachment has seen support fall across the nation.
Seeing the erosion of support for Democrats nationally, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had no choice other than to push the vote forward before the problem got any worse for her caucus.

538 Polling Averages : October through today, support for impeachment has decreased across voters from all parties. Independent support decreased by 4 points (47.7% to 43.7%), Democrat support decreased by 2.2 points (84.8 to 82.6%), and Republican support decreased 4.9 points (15.2% to 10.3%).
